Religion in Schools
Religious freedoms are a fundamental right in Canada and should be encouraged. However, school is for children’s intellectual growth, church and other religious institutions are for their spiritual growth.

When all students feel at ease, wanted, respected, accepted, and protected in surroundings where they can talk with concerned people they rely on, they are more likely to excel. A constructive school atmosphere affects everyone connected with the school. Only when our children feel safe from bullying, of any kind, can they do well. It is up to all of us, parents, educators and the community at large to make sure they all feel safe in our schools.
